FLUX HP-HY
Experience two 30-minute stages with impactful poses from hot pilates and hot yoga. Stay for 1 or both stages for a revitalizing workout!
FLUX HP-HY is a two-stage hybrid class: 30 minutes of hot pilates, then 30 minutes of hot yoga, at 98.6°F and 60% humidity. Stay for one stage or both, whichever the day allows.
This is the strength-then-stretch pairing, and it runs in full heat the whole way through. The first stage brings the controlled, precise core work of Gravity, our mat pilates class, where the demand is on the deep abdominals, the low back, and everything that holds you upright. The second moves into the static held postures of hot yoga on the Atom sequence, which is exactly what a freshly worked core wants: length after effort. Doing both in one class means the stretch lands on muscles that just did something, which is when it does the most good.
What Does HP-HY Mean?
The letters are the stages, in order. HP is Hot Pilates (Gravity). HY is Hot Yoga (Atom). Every FLUX class is named this way, so once you learn the codes you can read any of them off the schedule.
Can I Stay for Just One Stage?
Yes, and that is the point of the format rather than a concession. You are welcome to enter and exit between stages. Half an hour of pilates is a complete core session; half an hour of hot yoga is a complete stretch. Take either, or take both.
Who FLUX HP-HY Is For
- Core-and-flexibility goals together. The two most requested outcomes on our schedule, in one class.
- Desk-bound bodies. Pilates strengthens what sitting switches off and the yoga stage opens what sitting shortens. The damage is worth understanding.
- Hot yoga regulars who skip strength work. Thirty minutes of pilates, already in the room you like.
- Anyone chasing a full sweat. Full heat across both stages makes this one of the more demanding FLUX combinations.
What to Expect
Minimal, moisture-wicking clothing and a full water bottle. Mat, towel, and any equipment are provided. This class holds 98.6°F and 60% humidity for the entire hour, so treat it like a hot yoga class rather than a pilates class that happens to be warm. If you are newer to the heat, one stage is the honest starting point and there is no penalty for taking it.
How Often
One or two a week, with recovery respected given the heat load. Alternate with something gentler like Electron or Aura on the days between.
Where to Practice
FLUX offerings rotate by studio and by day, so check the schedule for where and when this one runs.
