FLUX CB-HY
Experience two 30-minute stages with impactful poses from cardio barre and hot yoga. Stay for 1 or both stages for a revitalizing workout!
FLUX CB-HY is a two-stage hybrid class: 30 minutes of cardio barre, then 30 minutes of hot yoga. The barre stage runs at 85°F and the hot yoga stage at 98.6°F. Stay for one stage or both, whichever the day allows.
FLUX exists because most people want more than one thing from a workout and rarely have time for two classes. Each stage is a real, self-contained block of its parent format rather than a watered-down sample, and the stages are sequenced so the second builds on what the first opened up. Here that means you spend the first half working: the ballet-derived positions and high-repetition, low-load sculpting of Particle, our cardio barre class, with the tempo and dance-inspired transitions that keep your heart rate up. Then you move into the deep stretch and static holds of hot yoga, on the Atom sequence, with muscles that are already warm and a heart rate that has somewhere to come down from.
What Does CB-HY Mean?
The letters are the stages, in order. CB is Cardio Barre (Particle). HY is Hot Yoga (Atom). Every FLUX class is named the same way, so once you learn the codes you can read any of them off the schedule.
Can I Stay for Just One Stage?
Yes, and that is the point of the format rather than a concession. You are welcome to enter and exit between stages. Take the barre half when you are short on time, take the yoga half when you want the stretch, or stay for the full hour when you want both. Nobody will look twice at you leaving at the halfway mark.
Who FLUX CB-HY Is For
- People who want cardio and stretch in one visit. The two things most routines split across separate days, done back to back.
- The time-crunched. One stage is a complete 30-minute workout. Two is a full session. You choose at the door.
- Barre regulars curious about hot yoga. A low-commitment way to meet the hot room, already warmed up and only for half an hour.
- Anyone whose routine has gone narrow. Training one pattern repeatedly is how progress stalls, and a hybrid is the cheapest fix.
What to Expect
Moisture-wicking clothes and water. Mat, towel, and any equipment are provided. The two stages feel genuinely different: the barre half is upbeat, small-movement, and relentless, while the hot yoga half is still, held, and hot. Pace the first stage knowing the second is coming if you plan to stay for both.
How Often
One or two a week fits most routines, on top of whatever you already do. Many members use FLUX as their variety day and keep their focused work in the single-format classes.
Where to Practice
FLUX offerings rotate by studio and by day, so check the schedule for where and when this one runs.
